Happy Birthday Grandma I-I

Grandma came into town to watch her grandchildren while mommy and daddy went on a get away.

The girls were so excited to sing to her (even if it was a few days late).  Take a sneak peek at where we were in Phoenix.  http://www.kierlandresort.com/ .  It was a wonderful get away.  As I got off the plane, after riding first class, a little man was waiting with a sign that said, "Jill Butler." I got into the black SUV and was waltzed to the resort.  Ryan really wanted me to go to the world class spa, but I just wanted to sit by the pool and read with NO kids.  It was glorious.  We had a fun filled few days out on the town and enjoying the resort.

 

Happy Easter

The girls had a blast finding Easter Eggs on Sunday morning.

I can't turn this picture but Willow was excited to find that the Easter Bunny left presents throughout the house.

We stopped out at Daddy's favorite restaurant for our Easter lunch.  We love the Golden Lion and thought we would enjoy the view while we had lunch.

We attempted to get a few family pics but that was quite interesting.

Snack Jacks

One Friday afternoon instead of ordering pizza we went to a local beach restaurant.  While we ate the girls and friends played in the sand.  It is so relaxing for everyone involved.

They were both a hot mess.

But these memories will last forever.

Because our girls won't stay little for long.

Marshmellow eGGS

Just had to quick post this.  I had some left over "BIG" marshmallows and chocolate.  So I dipped the marshmallows in the chocolate and put them in an egg carton for Easter.  They looked like eggs.  It was festive, fun and yummy!!

Fun April

Every week I go to bible study.  Linda (who is on the left) is my teacher.  She is here with her daughter and grandchild.

They had a surprise 60th birthday party for her at the Hilton.  We are so blessed to have Linda in our lives as she helps guide and teach us.

Right before the party, I snapped a quick picture of the girls in their little tutu's from nana and pappaw.  They love getting dressed up in tutu's and pearls.

But, my girls like to have fun and get a little dirty too.  We painted the sidewalk one afternoon.

Egg Hunt

Easter Egg Hunts aren't really traditional when you live near the beach. 

The dad's hide the eggs on the beach and the kids had so much fun.

Scarlett loved the Mr. Ryan hid eggs in a "hole" she was digging for them.

Everyone had so much fun.  Scarlett loved finding them and Willow loved eating what was inside them.

Willow Bean

Willow bean is Grandpa's little girl.  He flew down one day, picked her up and flew back with her, ALL on the same day.  After she was up there for about 2 weeks, they drove her back down to Florida.  They tell us that she was a good little girl.  She was quite the little listener and I am pretty sure she was quite the little Boss.

We went out and ate at the Flagler Fish Company which has AWESOME fish.  We were happy to have Willow back in town, Scarlett missed her too.  

Later,  we went for a walk.  The goal was for Daddy and Mommy to pull the wagon but as you can see they want to pull or push their ride.

Finally, I decided to get in the wagon....they loved it.

Cousins and more

At one point on the trip, we got something stuck on top of the umbrella splash pad.  So, Uncle Dale held up Emily while she got the things off the top of the umbrella.  It was too funny.

Do I really need to write about this picture?  Scarlett was in her glory.  Emily and Lizzy were fighting over her, she just couldn't get enough of her cousins.

We love Family

Almost every year, around the same time that Grandpa and Grandma Hartzler come to Florida, so do the Pelfreys.  They go to their timeshare in Orlando.  So Scarlett and I drove out there to meet them and stay with them for a few days.

Scarlett just loved swimming with her cousins.

Of course, Scarlett had to get in on the action with Rhonda.

The resort has a splash pad and it was so much fun running around crazy.

Local

Hanging out at our local places are so much fun.  Mindy with little Carston came out to eat with us Monday afternoon after the girls finished dance.

Willow was still in Ohio, so it was just the three of us at Highjackers.

It is nice watching the sunset and watching the airplanes take off.

Beach Day

Usually birthday parties are at the beach, the host brings pizza and cake and it works out great!

The guys don't mind it either, they get their sports talk in.

Dad's dig and dig and as you can tell, its well worth it.  The kids play in the "hole" all day.
