Random things

So the girls were dressing up and as you can see, its a bit of a hot mess.

I didn't have the heart to tell Scarlett that it was just too short.

However, on a much different note.  Our missionaries from the Philippines came into town and we had a potluck dinner after church.  (this is them on the left with our pastor and his wife.) You can check out Pastor Greg's Blog.

They are just the sweetest couple.  Before some of our group came to Cambodia, they made a pit stop off at the Philippines.  Well, when they stopped, they dropped off some packages that I had got their girls for Christmas.  I didn't even realize it, but they said in the past years, they have never received Christmas gifts from people in the states.  I was so honored to be able to get them to them just in time for Christmas.  I thought it was funny that their girls asked for "aeropostable sweatshirts" in the hottest country.  Our group going to Cambodia threw in some goodies too.  Before they left Palm Coast, I dropped off another flat iron, coffee and some goodies.  I was humbled by their lovableness and kindness towards all of us.

on our way out of town

So, on our way out of town and onto the airport.  We stopped at Lehman's as they were having a "fun day."  Grandma Pearl was signing her cookbook.  Pearl is Nana's mom.

Scarlett just wasn't so sure about the girls dressed up.

We had fun sitting and watching mommy get a painting on her face.

Of course, Daddy had the coolest hat in the place.

Happy 2 Weeks

I was pleasantly surprised at how much Scarlett really loved on her cousins.

I figured after a minute, she would be on to the next thing, but she thought she would teach them their letters.

We even celebrated the twins 2 week birthday.  We figured since we are going to be missing some of their milestones that we would make our own little special event.

They are sooo adorable.

New Cousins

We will go months without seeing our new little baby cousins, so I wanted to make sure we get some in our book.  We are getting this blog made into yearly books.

Lovin on the girls.

Happy 4th

It was nice to be in Ohio, but especially around the 4th of July.

And to visit the twins, LOVE the Hair bow.

Scarlett and Willow eating up the twins.

Willow was in her hay day, pretty sure the only time we let the girls hold the twins was during a "picture." Within minutes we took the twins away from them.

Happy 4th

So I was attempting to get a picture of the girls, but they just weren't interested.

Avery was totally into the Butler Family picture.  At least someone wanted to smile in the group picture.

The annual Fourth of July parade was a hit just like the past 10 years that Ryan and I have been going to Paul and Jenny's.  We get to visit and see Grandma Butler's siblings and all the family.

I just love this picture and wish I could have snapped Willow's face at this VERY, VERY tall man.

Happy 4th

So Uncle Sam came to visit the kids before the parade.

The Baltic girls enjoying the street side seats.

and this is where Willow becomes unsure of the situation on the road

She resorted to the first person that came to her cry...pappaw.

Happy 4th

The picnic was so nice and relaxing.  It was really nice to visit with family too.

Scarlett has over the years became more braver when going down the hill on the water slide.

Later in the evening, the girls found their car at Grandma I-I's and drove around like rock stars.

Of course, filling up the car with gas in high heels is a must!!

60 and 80

While being in Ohio is a highlight, it was even a bigger highlight to celebrate my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary and my grandpa's 80th birthday.

Of course, the kids had fun playin ol time water in the bucket.

I know Grandma won't love this picture, but I am so mad its the only picture I have of them that night.  I love my Grandparents and have always looked up to them.  My husband absolutely adores them too.  I pray someday that Ryan and I are sitting in the same chairs.  Although we didn't get married when we were 20, I hope to say that we were married for 60 years.  What an example to our young marriage.  Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for always being there for us, to comfort us, send us letters in Florida, visit us often, building a clubhouse in the woods, having sleep-overs, letting us eat candy when moms said no, letting us drink pop, bang on the piano, sunday night cookouts, country cousins love, and especially showing us God's love in your wonderful marriage.

Who can beat topping off a night with some good ol Popsicles.
