back to 1

Meet Amber, my nurse during my stay at the Marriott (aka the Fairfield Mercy Hospital).  I was only going to stay for one night but since I stayed for two, well, I just had a party in my room.  She was wonderful and as I mentioned earlier we are going to have her little girls meet my little girls (they are close in age).  Anyways, Lane was one spoiled little guy.  They all were checking on you and holding you throughout the whole weekend we were there!
Our two little girls are with the grandparents and we are missing them, which means we are back to ONE (thank goodness only for a few days, as I am missing them like crazy).  I am guessing that they are getting spoiled too.
Then we brought our little Lane home and he has just been the sweetest little thing.

Lane:  We are so lucky to be your momma and daddy.  You have melted our hearts.  You love to snuggle and sleep.  We are loving everything about you.

Aunt Joy, Aunt Amy, and your cousins (Molly, Megan and Tori) were waiting for you at the house when we got home from the hospital on Sunday night.  Aunt Joy took some fabulous pictures!!!

She also snapped some of me snuggling with my little guy.

These crazy girls were just hanging out in the nursery while Joy took pictures!!

Sweet Lane Joseph - 3 days old

Ryan was in the room as Joy was taking pictures and he was telling Lane that he was so sorry that he had to go through the photo op....However, Joy then politely reminded Ryan that we wouldn't have to buy the pictures from the hospital and Ryan started to help Joy take pictures....ha

Our sweet, sweet friends John and Robin Grow stopped in to see Lane the next day.  We met them in Florida and they go to our church in Palm Coast.  We are so thankful for our relationship with them.  We talk to them often as John and I are involved with a few projects, and Robin guides me and helps in my everyday walk with God.  I was like a giddy school girl when they called and said they were on their way to our house.  You can check out John's blog HERE.
Too bad these didn't arrive a little earlier in the day, I could have pretended I baked all day for John and Robin.
The fruit editable basket was wonderful too.  Thanks Lauren!!

One of the first bible verses Scarlett learned in preschool last year fits this perfectly.  It is part of Psalm 139:14.  It makes me think of my children that I am so thankful for.
 I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Last year, Scarlett tried to figure out why she was fearful and wonderful....

Lane Joseph Butler

Lane Joseph Butler (aka LJ) arrived at 8:20 pm on Friday, August 17, 2012.  He weighed 7lbs, 8oz.  He was 20inches long.  He joins sisters Scarlett Elizabeth and Willow Grayce.  We are blessed beyond words with what God has given us.  We are so honored with this special gift.

We are so thankful, so blessed and we are enjoying our third little bundle.
Lane's delivery had its roller coasters but by the time the hubby took this picture, I was very relieved and EXCITED!!!
Loved these two during delivery....Dr. Johnson who delivered Lane Joseph and Bonnie, a nurse who was so wonderful till late in the evening.
Lane was weighed for the first time.
Daddy handing me Lane after he was born, I was overwhelmed.
I was so excited that he was so healthy, breathing and just beautiful.
My hubby was just awesome during delivery.  I was in a lot of pain and he was such a stable, strong person and it really kept me calm.
Dr. Johnson, one of the many OB's in our practice was just wonderful.  He was one of the first ones I met at the practice and I think he is just wicked smart.
Right after delivery I was able to feed Lane and Dr. Johnson was so supportive during the entire delivery process.
Daddy getting to hold his son after mommy fed him.
I HAVE WAITED LONG ENOUGH
The girls just couldn't wait to hold baby brother.
We are so blessed and Lane Joseph just completes us.
Of course Lane had to get the girls a little something.....some calico critters and other little toys.

A little neat thing about Lane's birthday is that it is my Uncle Dale's birthday too.  I called him that morning to wish him Happy Birthday.  I really wasn't sure if I would really go into labor that day.  It was 2 days after my due date so I knew I had a chance.  In this picture above he dressed up as a "farmer, amish, cowboy" for Scarlett's 4th birthday party.  We had a cowgirl birthday party and every one dressed up, but of course, Uncle Dale went all out for the kids and made it so much fun.  I have so many great memories of him just loving on all of his nieces and nephews.  One of my favorite things about my Uncle Dale is that he ALWAYS took me out on the boat and I love the water.  I am so thrilled that Lane shares his birthday with such a fun, loving and wonderful role model.
As if my Uncle wasn't enough of a neat surprise to share on that day.  My girlfriend, Laura was induced earlier that day, we were wondering if we were going to have babies together and we did....just hours apart!!  Ryder Scott was born around 2:30 pm.  Our little rooms were just down the hall from each other.  It was such a neat memory.  (Ryder is on the left and Lane is on the right).  Lane is going to have some stories about his special day and who he shares that day with.  So glad I grabbed this picture of us together before we had those precious little boys.

I can't wait to add more pictures of this little guy.  We are enjoying every minute!!  We love you so much LJ!!

Just a peek around the house

So over at Kelly's Blog she has bloggers link up to show us their front porches and etc.  I can't wait to decorate our front and back porch with pumpkins.  I have started the inside of the house and my hubby is laughing, telling me that "fall" doesn't start until September.  But with the baby on the way, I wanted to start.
I want to add pumpkins and etc to our back porch door area that resembles this picture below.  I don't want to buy the pumpkins too early so that they don't rot away.

I am in love with this front door from pinterest.  I would love to make a "B" like this for my front door.  If you click into the picture, you will see that they painted the white pumpkin too.

I really want to turn my back porch into this FALL beautiful picture!  I just need to start picking up pumpkins.

I just love this wreath too and I think it would be easy to copy and make it.

Right now, my front door looks like this and I am in the midst of making a fall wreath to resemble some of the above pictures and I want to add some pumpkins.  I guess I am just loving that since we moved to Ohio, I feel like I can do more things with pumpkins then in Florida.  It was just so hot in Florida till Thanksgiving that it didn't really sound too fun buying pumpkins in August.

Side note:  Willow will not take off the tutu and she loves her shirt - off to put these items in hiding.

Scarlett wanted to grab a picture of us posing by the front door...i guess my head is over -rated, didn't need that in the pic...ha.  This picture was taken just a few hours before I went into labor.
Decided to add a few pictures of Lane's nursery too.  I found this red vintage chair at a church sale and I feel like its the best $50.00 I have spent in awhile.  I am in love with it.  You have to stop over and try it.
The changing table wall.  I fell in love with the little red stool by the table for the girls to stand on.  They will love helping little Lane.  It was a steal deal and marked down for $9. too!  If you click on the picture, the LJ was so fun to make with scrapbook paper and mod podge.
This bookshelf was going to the trash before we moved and I convinced my husband to keep it.
Instead of repainting it, I used mod podge and scrapbook paper again.  And well, Scarlett was helping too!!
Soaked that glue on that baby and that is how I ended up with the polka dot background in the above picture.  We figured it will work for now until..... well, maybe I find another steal deal at a garage sale or want to paint it another color.

Another neat part of the nursery was done by my wonderful Grandma Hartzler, she is such an amazing christian woman and I have so many great memories of her and grandpa from my childhood till now.
I just love that the girls think that Grandma Hartzler is soo cool.  When she came to visit us in Florida, she read to the girls before bed and they just LOVED it.  When we list our grandparents, they usually list Grandma and Grandpa Hartzler - its sorta hard to explain that they are actually their great grandparents, they just don't understand it.  It is such a blessing that we are able to be closer to them and give our children so many memories with their wonderful family.
The crib with the Lane pictures behind it.  We are loving the crib sheets that we designed.  Grandma Hartzler sewed the bottom skirting with the striped material = LOVE!  She is also finishing some pillow cases that I decided to add to the room last minute.
We can't wait for our little buckeye to join us.  We are so ready.  It's a good thing he is running a few days late because we were able to finish some last minute touches.
Speakin of our little buckeye, I made these little treats for the nurses and doctors at the hospital or really anyone that stops in to help us.
I thought a little treat would be sweet for putting up with a prego chick having a baby.  The little sayin at the top says....The third little buckeye has joined the Butler family.  (and of course the bag has three little buckeyes in it)
