Stoked

For Christmas this past year, I got this awesome laminator from an exchange on our Butler side.  I have been wanting one for years. I didn't want one that was hundreds of dollars but one that I can run into Target and get refill paper.  I am STOKED.  I love it.  This was the first time I used it and I absolutely love it!  I am laminating a few things for the girls for their learning time.
Thanks to my sister in law, Ash, who got it for me.  She is an awesome momma to these little pretties below....
Just maybe I will be able to laminate a few things for them too!

Little Learning Time

This week we tackled the Letter B.  B is for Bugs, Butterflies and Ballerinas.  Willow (2) is working on her letters and sounds. Scarlett (5) is working on sight words and reading.  In this picture she is finding the differences in each row.  I have started to work with the girls more but especially Scarlett since we moved.  We took her out of preschool in Florida and she will start Kindergarten in the fall in Ohio.

Hop on over to our Educational Blog to see what units we have been doing, and I might attempt to keep that blog updated...wish me luck!

Love to learn

I bought these felt boards awhile ago at Learning Resources in Fern Park.  I love anything from this store.  The learning materials are beyond useful.  It can be a little expensive but the items last forever.  In Ohio, I was never near a store and always had to order online but I love going in and spending hours in the store.

Willow just didn't know what to do with her felt board.

We finally decided to start building the zoo.

Of course, Scarlett and her painting is such a treat.  FYI: the paint cups are from LR too!!

Say Cheese

On Tuesdays, we have Dance in the morning and gymnastics in the later part of the afternoon.  I would like to have them on seperate days but for now that is how it works.  I have Scarlett in two activities and she seems to enjoy them both.  Scarlett is with me all the time and doesn't really go to school besides Sunday school so I felt it was important for her to attend little "School" like activities.  As you can tell from this picture, she was a little exhausted today and decided to take a "break" on our hard tile.

Little bean has been as active as always, so I usually have to strap her in.  We have been learning and reviewing the letter E and about Queen Esther.  The bible verse this week is ...The word of the Lord ENDURES forever. It's in 1 Peter 1:25.  The girls learn a little song with it to make it easier.

Our little sick, not feelin so great days

you would never believe it by this picture....but Willow really was sick.  Right after the "Pink Party" and people left, I stayed up late cleaning and enjoying a quiet, peaceful house.  I went to bed and not even a half hour later I was up with Willow all night.  She was one sick little bean.

So, Scarlett and I stayed in our jammies all day and played different learning games.

Learning

One morning, my girlfriend Rochelle needed a break so she dropped off Connor and the others at school and went home to relax. So Connor joined us in Learning Time that morning. However, I only got pictures of them painting.

They are just too cute!! Connor loved it!

Connor's parents are in our small group study at church... we go on Sunday evenings to small group and its so awesome. The friendships that we have made and the support is beyond what we deserve.
