Then they came

Scarlett had been counting down days until Nana and Pappaw came. She wanted to go to the castle with them.

 

She really wanted to see Sleeping Beauty. She was beside herself. Can you tell by her dreamy eyes looking up?

The girls

On Wednesdays I go to bible study and this past week was our last one. So we made little flower pots for Scarlett's nursery teachers that watch her every Wednesday.

 

Scarlett had Carina over to play and swim, they love eating snack.

 

Willow will get up on her knees and sway back and forth. She will reach out and try to crawl but will just fall forward, poor girl, she has a red, bruised chin from it and the slobber from her teeth doesn't help either.

 

1st for Willow

Lately, Willow has been pulling out the big dogs.


She has been drinking juice out of a straw and juicebox.

 

It was too cute!! Daddy was helping Willow drink and she just loved it.

 

Willow loves putting on makeup too with mommy in the morning.

 

Willow has started to take tubby's in the big girl tub. Scarlett is so excited to have a playmate.

Happy Birthday Carly

Carly just turned 4. Her birthday party was poolside on Saturday and the girls loved it. Carly comes to my small group learning on Friday's and she will be in preschool next year.

Willow and I just chilling. (and yes, i know it looks like my dress is up and down and all over...but I wanted to get a picture of Willow and I had been laying out but not in my suit just trying to tan with the dress on)

 

Before I had known about the party, a few girls from our small couples group decided to go out to eat and shopping for Mother's Day. So I left the party early to go and meet up with them. Ryan did great with both girls, although Scarlett stayed at the party late and Mindy brought her home. Ryan left earlier with Willow because the heat was unbearable that day. My husband is just great with helping out with the girls, I am so blessed that he works so hard and then comes home and helps me too. Love it!!

We just finished up on the study, Lord, change my attitude and I think I will have to reread that study over and over. It's pretty powerful and I always need to work on a lot of stuff, so this study showed me some important pointers. We are taking a break from our couples study for the summer, so we will see whats going on next fall.

 

Learning and Beach

Real quick before we were off to the beach, we talked about L and Ladybugs. Scarlett decided to make one, so I cut some red and black things for her. Then, she glued and had fun.

 

Then, we were off to the beach. Ignore the Brutus as that was for a project I am working on for Austin's (my cousin) 5th grade class in Columbus.

Willow wanted fed and Scarlett wanted something and they were both crying. So what else does this blogging mom do...well, go get the camera to have a true picture of what that day looked like.

Scarlett has been loving puzzles lately, I gave her this 24ish piece puzzle and she did great.



Willow in the pool. She lasted for about 10 minutes and decided enough is enough, but has loved it ever since.

Updates

Willow:
You are around 8 months (yes, I am your mother and horrible with week and month counting)
for those of you that don't know or would like to do the math, Willow was born August 26th
- You just got your first tooth (maybe i can get a picture soon)
- You like to climb up on things (like below) and the couch...just started in the past week.
- You like to eat ANYTHING we give you... you just tried chicken something the other day.
- You like Gerber puffs, Pea snaps and anything toy that you can put in your mouth.
- You are in size four diapers and in 6-12 month clothes.
- You haven't been sick yet (i probably shouldn't have wrote this) or needed to go the dr because of sickness. However, I just got a cream for the gookies behind your ear. AND yes I give you baths, but the doctor says its the way your skin is growing??!!
- You love when your daddy walks in the door, especially if he has been gone for a few days because you know he will rock you.
- You are sleeping from about 8 until 5, you drink a bottle and then go back to sleep until 7ish. You still take 3 naps a day.
- Scarlett calls you sissy and now all of her little friends call you sissy too. (I think they think that is your name)
- You love to swing outside by the pool.
- You go from sitting into a crawling position, then you bottom out and swat.
- You love to flap...we sometimes call you flapper. Its really when you get excited.
- We hear you look like daddy, mommy and Scarlett. (I think its a good thing that you look like the rest of your family.)


Here you are, thinking you are big stuff.

 

Big girl Scarlett:
- You are such a big girl helper
- You are writing your name and sounding out 2-3 letter words.
- You love to pretend you are a teacher or reading to your babies.
- You are a little fish in the water.
- You love to play t-ball with daddy.
- You haven't taken afternoon naps in the past 6 months, just quiet time, but we may be looking into that again.
- You sleep in the same room with Willow, and you two are just champs.
- You still love your milk.
- You recently became attached to a little bunny that you found in your stuffed animal bin.
- You love learning stations that I set up each week and learning time (although mommy has been slacking)
- You love gymnastics, but not so much dance. We are going to take you out of dance.
- You love to go into the church nursery.
- You are starting to talk more and using your words.

 

Scarlett and Willow, your mommy and daddy love you so much.


So much, that it took both of us to figure out how to set up this tent that you got for Christmas. We decided to pull things out slowly so that your presents weren't out all the same week.

Lindsay and Steve were just beautiful. I love seeing people on their wedding days, they have this glow that just reminds ol married people like myself the excitement of the day.
