Quack Quack

Ride the Duck - Newport

See this cool little bus on wheels!!! Over the weekend Papaw and Nana took the girls on the "Ride the Ducks" Experience.  It takes you sightseeing and gives you a duck's view of the Greater Cincinnati area.  You travel the land and water (Ohio River) with just this one vehicle.

I am not sure the girls knew what they were getting into at this point.
We bought tickets through the website and picked them up at will call.

Ride The Ducks is the nation's largest amphibious tour operator and amphibious vehicle manufacturer. The mission is to "create Quack-tastic memories worth repeating" by offering our guests an entertainment sightseeing experience that is fun, informative and engaging. - via website
Papaw and Scarlett crusin along the land before going into the water.
Nana and Willow....do you see the quackers around their neck.  The tour guide told them to quack at people along the street until they smile and wave.
Scarlett took this to heart and never stopped quacking.
Getting ready to take the plunge.
Willow just wasn't too sure about going in the water, she said she was a little scared but got over that real quick!

The girls were able to learn some history about the Greater Cincinnati area too!  They learned about the Newport Aquarium and the Roebling Suspension Bridge.  They even passed the Great American Ballpark which is home to the Cincinnati Reds and the Paul Brown Stadium which is home to the Cincinnati Bengals.  We hope to go to a game this season and I think you will be able to see the Duck Rides from the game.

Willow and her happy quacker.....it took her awhile to figure that little yellow guy out, but she finally did it!

Papaw and his little quackers!!

As you can imagine, that little cute quacker comes home with you and it just keeps quacking.  Little Lane was 8 days old and was able to hear the quacking from these two little ducks!!

Although I might have to go back and buy a few of these for the girls to hit on the driving range.  Maybe if I tell Willow to "hit the duck" she will drive the ball far.  As you can imagine, she likes to take a few swings when using her driver.

Everything about this ride is black and white, simple as that.  It is a fun way to spend your Saturday morning in the Greater Cincinnati area.  If you are in the area, you should try it out or if you come to visit, we would love to take you!
